Deposition of William Buie Juniper (relationship not stated)

  Excerpt of William Buie's deposition:

"Question:  Are you familiar with complainants and live close to them?

Yes, I am familiar with complainants.  I have known them for 40 years.  I live within sight of them."

He also went on to state that he believed them to be illiterate and ignorant of business dealings.

Other evidence offered was notes:

"March 28, 1846

Dear Sirs after my respects to you and yours that will inform you that agreeable to promise we cannot go down to see you at soon as (torn paper) promised.  But satisfy yourself we will be down between the first and 10 of April and we will bring the money their and if you willl be so kind to wait until then it will oblize us very much."

From this information:  Between the two cases it is specifically stated that Isabella and Sarah Buie are sisters of Archibald Buie (known as Baldie Buie) and lives with them.

Jane A. Buie (referred to in various papers and according to her signature on some papers: as Jane Ann Buie; Janet Ann Buie; Jennet Ann Buie; Janett Ann Buie) is niece to the above.

Inferred that Marrian and Catrine are also sisters to Archibald.

Jane Ann Buie is daughter to a Catherine Buie who died in 1849 and is named in her will in Moore County, NC 1849.

A bastardy bond paid by Archibald Buie for a Catherine Buie  (get reference).
