Introduction to Family Group R
I am starting this Family Group differently in that it is a very large and complicated Family Group. Many of descendants of Mary Buie and Hugh Brown married Buies in other family groups, with the compliers of the book referring to the Family Group in which descendants were listed. Most notably many descendants married descendants of Malcolm Buie and Ann McCraine of Family Group C, with offspring marrying again back into these two groups. There are many 1st, 2nd, etc. cousin marriages, between these groups as well as other families living in the area, notably, Smith, Patterson, Frierson, McCallum.
To complicate matters is the fact that I did not post Family Group C, but referred you to Kimberly Huber's site, The Buie's of Robeson Co., NC to avoid duplication of information.
This means that not only are you referred to another family group for descendants but to another site as well. To ease this problem, I will post a download file of Family Group C however to fully appreciate how intertwined these families are it would probably be best to merge the two groups. I intend to offer the GEDCOM file for each Family Group C and R and a merged version when completed.
I tried to catch all of the links and refer you to the appropriate place, but may have missed a few. Also noted, when there was further information, with a link to my email if anyone is interested. PLEASE be specific in the information you would like. There are so many with the same names and relationships.

John McCallum Buie is in Family Group C, great grandson of Malcolm Buie and Ann McCraine as well as the ggrandson of Mary Buie and Hugh Brown.
Mary Ann Brown is the ggranddaughter of Mary Buie and Hugh Brown
