They lived 6 miles west of Fayetteville near Beaver Creek and attended Campground Methodist Church where John was a steward.  There were no children, but they did adopt Margaret McIver Baker of Cumberland Co., NC.

MCFAYDEN Aft. 1870.  She was born Abt. 1836 in NC, and died April 16, 1917 in Cumberland Co., NC.

October 1862, Cumberland Co., NC.  The Family Buie: Scotland to North America place John Randall Buie as a son of Archibald and Sarah Black Buie.  Descendants of James Archibald Buie and Sarah Black, in Camden Co., GA with family papers state John Clark Buie is the son of Archibald Buie and Sarah Black Buie.

4.  NEILL2 BUIE (DUNCAN1) was born August 18, 1828 in Cumberland Co., NC, and died March 26, 1912 in Cumberland Co., NC.  He married SALLIE TORREY MCEACHERN, daughter of ARCHIBALD MCEACHERN and EFFIE SELLERS.  She was born April 01, 1834 in NC, and died March 11, 1916 in NC.
